Baytowne Memorial Day Weekend: Games, Concert & Fireworks

Kick off your summer in the Village of Baytowne Wharf with Memorial Day Weekend 2018 festivities for the whole family, May 26-228 (Sat-Mon). Enjoy live music in the Events Plaza stage from 7-9 p.m. each night. Children’s activities will be featured in the Events Plaza from 6-9 p.m. on Sunday night, and then Baytowne will light up the sky above the lagoon with a patriotic fireworks show at 9:15 p.m. On Monday, the Village will host a Memorial Day program right before sunset at 7pm, presented by Sandestin Veterans, including a special performance. Admission is free and open to the public.

The 33rd Annual Eglin Memorial Day Gate-to-Gate Run

When: Monday, May 28, 2018
Time: 7:00 am to 9:30 am
Where: Unity Park Eglin AFB
Celebrate one of Northwest Florida’s greatest traditions at Eglin’s 33rd annual Gate-To-Gate Memorial Run/Walk. This competitive race is open to the general public, and to all ages and skill levels. There will also be a free kids run after the start of the main race. The 4.4-mile course on Eglin AFB starts at Unity Park, follows Eglin Boulevard to Memorial Trail and ends at Unity Park. Flowers will be provided for each runner to drop at the Veteran’s Memorial along the route.
Runners, walkers, and teams are invited to register online at www.runsignup.com until May 12 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Air Armament Museum (cash only for entry fees) at a cost of $25. Late online registration runs through May 19 at cost of $30. Full details and the affidavit are available on the registration website.
